For her blue series Knight has utilised the cyanotype, a light sensitive printing process developed in the mid-19th century. The cyanotype or blueprint was commonly used to copy both architectural and mechanical design drawings. In this series Knight has applied the process to capture both personal and commonplace household items, examining shape, form and materiality. These modest objects are further transformed through placement and a shift in scale as Knight explores representation and abstraction.
